We feature Katie and Matt’s lovely wedding today captured by Cornwall based Wedding Photographer Tracey Warbey Photography.
Do tell us about the couple
Katie and Matt met around 3 and a half years ago at a circuit training class. They both went to the same secondary school and although they were a few years apart, they remember each other so that started the conversation!
They both enjoy fitness, travelling, socialising and both have a passion for food (Kate cooking it and Matt eating it!).
Please tell us a little bit about the day and how it went
Katie & Matt, married on 01/08/2015 at Knightor Winery, Trethurgy, Cornwall.
Knightor is a boutique winery close to the popular tourist resort, The Eden Project.
The couple’s civil ceremony was held outside (following a drizzly start) in the venue’s recently erected arbour and reflected a rustic, country theme, with hay bales and milk churns filled with wild flowers.
The colours chosen for the day were pretty pastels of peach, cream, pink and lilac.
Do tell us a little bit about yourself
I have been taking photography seriously since 2008 and come from a fine art background.
I started my wedding photography business in June 2014 when an old work colleague asked me to photograph her wedding and I haven’t looked back since. I gave up my day job in May this year to concentrate on growing my business and I am very much looking forward to the future.
How would you describe your photography style?
I would describe my style as contemporary documentary but I offer a bespoke service, tailoring to my client’s needs. Many couples still like the option of having family formals and this is something that I do offer.
What did you love about the day?
Everything! The attention to detail especially. Katie spent many months making everything by hand to ensure their day was as perfect as they had dreamt it to be and it showed. I can only describe the day as rustic yet beautifully elegant at the same time. Perfect.
