The Wedding of Adina & Alin
Today we go abroad to Romania for the lovely wedding of Adina and Alin. Their special day was captured by Gabriela Matei and Marius Tudor, who both make up photoCHIC.
About the Day & the Couple
There is a quote that can describe the whole wedding day of Adina and Alin and it sounds like that “Life is a preparation for the future; and the best preparation for the future is to live as if there were none.” They are the best example of living the present. Adina, a young romanian wedding dress designer, wanted to be very special for her wedding day, so her lovely dress, as you will see in the pictures, is her creation. Alin, a young romanian engineer, wanted to have fun all day long but he was so nervous when Adina passed the church door for their first look. The wedding took place at Palace Hotel Govora, 220 km far from Bucharest and they rented all the 130 rooms for their guests. Romanian weddings have an alert rythm so the shooting began early in the day with their civil ceremony wedding, after that we had their getting ready moments and the religious ceremony. You never know when time passes. It was a day full of emotions, everyone was hugging everyone, some were laughing, some were crying…a celebration day indeed. The so vibrant party ended with a DJ playing club music till 9 am next day.
The Photographers
We’re Gabriela Matei and Marius Tudor also known as photoCHIC. Based in Bucharest, Romania we travel where the people are asking our services. Very passionate storytellers, people lovers and in a continuous search of good light, right timing and emotions we’ve found, since 2010, that one of the things without we cannot live and breathe is wedding photography. We belive that our work demands a strong dedication to quality and a deep understanding of each bride and groom needs. They say there are two primary approaches to wedding photography: tradional and photojournalism. Joking a bit, we say phototradijournalism is our main style. Coming from the journalism side (we’ve both graduated University of Journalism classes) we are more into not interfering in our clients actions and we like to be as discreet as we can , but we also love the good looking portraits and formals. International award winning wedding photographers we’re members of several most known wedding photography associations.
What did you love about the day?
We loved the energy. As we said everyone was hugging everyone, some were crying, some were laughing and the mood was awsome. After the wedding day we felt like we didn’t photographed for more than 16 hours.
