Real Wedding at The Athenaeum Library in Liverpool

We share the wedding of Jamie and Louise who got married at the Athenaeum Library in Liverpool and had their day captured by Nina Pang.

The day

Jamie and Louise were introduced by a friend 8 years ago, and a flat, two houses and a dog later we finally decided to tie the knot. Jamie proposed on a surprise trip to Paris, a place that is special to them. Louise is and has always loved to read, so they had their ceremony in The Athenaeum which is the oldest library in Liverpool

Louise created most of the decor herself, including the handwritten chalkboard signs, library catalogue seating plan and loose leaf tea favours. They hired an old double decker bus to transport their guests to the reception venue and had our drinks reception on the roof garden overlooking the iconic Liverpool skyline.

I have been doing photography for 7 years but since I shot my first wedding 5 years ago, I decided what I wanted to do for my career. I was based in Manchester and have recently moved down south but I would travel anywhere around the world for weddings. I love working with natural light and would describe my style relax and candid, I love capturing the ‘real moment’ of the day. I shoot fairytale inspired photograph on the side and I combine it into my weddings sometimes. I always want my clients to remember their big day, photos that genuinely tells the story of their wedding. Shooting a wedding is very tiring but I loved every single moment of it, people go through a variety of emotions on the day, it is truly magical and I get to capture all these special moments.
