I’m so excited to share this beautiful wedding capture by Pete of Ap-Art Photography. The lovely wedding day of Måne and Audun who got married in Norway.
Måne and Audun are an extremely down to earth, fun, adventurous couple who share a passion for travelling. In fact, after their initial meet-cute at a wedding, Måne was due to jet off to Israel three weeks later on a new adventure. Audun therefore decided he couldn’t miss this opportunity, getting to know the beautiful Måne, that he too was on that plane with her on the way to Israel. As Måne says: ‘After a near-to-death skydiving experience, hitchhiking in the Negev desert and food poisoning we fell in love’. They now have two beautiful babies and the whole world in their hands.
The Big Day
It was a hot, humid day in Marifjøra. The fjord was calm and some beautiful cumulus mediocris clouds had formed before the ceremony. The groom was getting ready at the hotel while the bride had organised her preparation at a local salon. The road to the quirky church was disguised by countless tunnels, spiraling through the face of the mountains. After the mystical ceremony we ended up on Molden mountain, overlooking what I can only describe as a photographer’s dream. The most amazing location and beautiful newlyweds. I was in heaven. Reception was hosted at a 17th century guesthouse – Tørvis Hotell. Great people, interesting customs and a fantastic party that lasted till… I can’t remember!
About The Photographer – Ap-Art Photography
I live a stone throw away from one of the beautiful Kentish beaches in the South East of England. I enjoy life to the full, blending humour with art and nature with people. I love to photograph the world’s changing reflections and spontaneous moments. I love to travel, meet new people, spend time with my new family and watch the clouds fly by. Burgers. I also love burgers.
I would describe myself as a documentary photographer with an artistic edge, looking for extraordinary angles, searching for the perfect light. I once was described as a ‘ninja photographer’; barely seen at the wedding yet providing stunning shots.
What I Loved About The Day
I loved everything. Literally everything. From the most amazing landscape of the biggest fjord in Norway (Sognefjord), the Scandinavian wedding traditions, the midnight sun, the delightful couple to the 2am snack of sausage with Lompe (traditional Norwegian bread made from potato). Inspiring!
