I’m pleased to share the afternoon of Irena and Pete when they got legally married in London, their day was captured by South East London Wedding Photographer Verity of Rabbit and Pork Photography.
They met at a mutual friend birthday party in September 2012 and hit it off straight away. They now live in a beautiful little apartment off of Brick Lane in East London and can regularly be found having a pint and laughing like love sick love birds in the Carpenters Arms.
Ren & Pete are to be wed in a fabulous fancy ceremony in Croatia in May, so this was the ‘legal bits and bobs day’ So I went over to their flat while they got ready together, we then went for a quick glass of bubbles in the Carpenters Arms on Chester St. They made our way on the tube to Bromley Registry office in Bow with only their immediate family present. Once they had said their ‘I do’s’ and had their first smooch as man and wife we all walked down to the Morgan Arms pub in Bow for some lovely pub grub. At around 7 all their friends showed up and the drinking truly began. It was the most relaxed and yet beautifully romantic day I have ever had the honour of photographing.
I am a South East Londoner who loves a giggle normally with a well made G&T in my hand. I have a very unhealthy addiction to buying vintage dresses, and I never go out without my trusty red lippy to hand.
How would you describe your photography style?
Fun, reportage and romantic. I love capturing the true essence of a couples vibe together.
What did you love about the day?
I totally LOVED how he was the on to zip up her gorgeous black vintage dress, and the fact they wore sunglasses most of the day! But truly… I think I loved the fact that I made two new friends that I plan to keep forever.
