Kamilla and Aiden’s Welsh Beach Wedding

We feature this lovely Welsh brach wedding captured by Diana V Photography who was the photographer for Kamilla and Aiden’s wedding day.

Kamilla and Aiden’s wedding was a beautiful relaxed day in such a stunning location, I (Diana V Photography) felt very privileged to capture it.

Kamilla and Aiden wanted their wedding to be an outdoor ceremony in front of a beautiful Welsh beach and they fell in love with Waterwynch House the moment they saw it. They were looking for a venue that felt like a family home, secluded and not too big, just right for their closest family and friends to celebrate with them.

We were blessed with a beautiful and warm early autumn day. Their elegant and simplistic styling really complimented the family home / beach style of the house. All of the beautiful flower decorations were made by the bride. Kamilla is so creative! She also knitted the buttonholes for all of the groomsmen too, which was such a unique look I thought.

Kamilla’s dress was a Justin Alexander, which looked really stunning, timeless and classic. The dress was customizable and Kamilla had the top made separately, as she wanted two separate looks to change into throughout the day. Marks and Spencer’s made the cake, and they personalised it with Disney Pixar Up chairs, which they found on Etsy.

To go with the relaxed vibe of their wedding day, they wanted easy simple food that everyone likes, so they hired a wood fired pizza oven that also made handmade burgers. They knew that everyone would enjoy this kind of food, and they wanted it to be fun. So rather than having a formal sit down meal, family and friends could mingle and explore the house. It created a really lovely and relaxed atmosphere.

Kamilla and Aiden found me through my website and told me straight away how important the location was to them. I was so happy when they told me that I had managed to capture the essence and magic of the location in such a magnificent way.

I asked Kamilla what advice she would give to future bride and grooms. Here’s what she said: I guess the advice I would give is to make sure your day is right for you. We wanted a fun and carefree wedding, because that suits who we are, and to have our close family and friends around us. Make sure you plan for what you want and not what others want. It was so important to us that we kept our wedding focused on our relationship and uniqueness. And also accept that some things do go wrong, and that’s okay, because they make fantastic stories afterwards!

The Photographer:

I truly believe that the photos people treasure the most are the ones of happy, silly, cute, emotional moments that remind you exactly of the vibe of your day. So my photography is very much about telling a story, including all the big and little moments of your day. I also adore nature and unique settings and creating epic pieces of art. I am based in London but available nationwide.
