Bright Wedding Photo Collection
Wedding photos don’t always need to be black and white.
Photo by Liam Carroll // ZT Photography – City Weddings <3 // Manchester // UK
The Money Shot
Photo by Damion Mower Photography – I second shot this wedding for a friend, it was so full of vibrancy and colour…..and the amount of dollar bills flying around the dance floor was staggering.
Lynsey and Ricky
Photo by Alexa Poppe Wedding Photography – Lynsey and Ricky tied the knot at Lowerbarns in Cornwall. One of my favourite venues here in Cornwall, this Boutique bed and Breakfast with it’s colourful eclectic south American style offers plenty of backdrops like this stylish gypsy wagon.
Stacey & Tyler
Photo by Jasmin & Matt Photography / Jasmin Pichlyk – The blend of the Caribbean Sea and the garden ceremony setup was exactly what Stacey & Tyler had hoped for when tying the knot at Azul Fives in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
Nidhi & Nikhil
Photo by Jasmin & Matt Photography / Matt Mathieson – Nidhi & Nikhil celebrated their beautiful traditional Indian wedding at Generations Riviera Cancun & El Dorado Royal surrounded by family and friends from every corner of the globe.
Emerald dress for the silver anniversary
Photo by ANASTASIOS AGGELOU – This couple came all the way from Philippines to celebrate their silver anniversary in the romantic destination of Santorini island. The stunning emerald green dress the bride chose gave a grand effect to the photos. As beautiful as on their wedding day, 25 years later the couple still radiates with love and affection. Cheers to many more!
Photo by My Love Momentz/Ivan Lim – The celebration after the ceremony complete. In Chinese Traditional Wedding, this couple has already went through a long day with gate crashing, praying and tea ceremony which last easily 6 hours. Once everything has finished, the couple changed to a comfortable red slippers, lie down on the bed and kiss. After the kissing shot, I have to get out of the room already!
Secret Garden Lover
Photo by My Love Momentz/Ivan Lim – This photo is taken in Penang, Malaysia. They put up a lot of LED high up on the trees and it turn into a colorful Garden when the day turns dark. This is photographed during a prewedding session.
The Surprise Sunset
Photo by Amy Faith Photographer – Katie & Peter planned their wedding to fall on what should have been a summer August day. But, as we know, we can’t always rely on the British summer to guarantee sunshine. They smiled their way through a cool & windy confetti throw and family portraits at the church, spent their reception drinks inside while the clouds covered the sky, and danced between the trees during their couple portraits, ready to hide beneath the canopy if the rain broke out. Thankfully it held off… after which I watched the sky and waited with bated breath for any tiny chance of a sunset. Katie & Peter were one of those couples who were up for anything and, I think, quite enjoyed being made to feel amazing during their portrait time. Thankfully their willingness to clamber over brambles into a field and my incessant wishing paid off – just as the sun dipped beneath the cloud layer we got 10 minutes of glorious sunset, turning the sky pink and purple like I’d never seen it before. Moral of the story – listen to your photographer!
The Sk8 Park
Photo by Amy Faith Photography – Hannah & Jay are Scousers, born and bred, meeting in art class when they were just 14. They now live and work in Sweden as a designed for H&M and an architect. From the moment they enquired I knew their wedding was going to be a special one. Favouring my style of city photography, they chose me to capture the urban landscape of Liverpool throughout their portrait time, which lasted for 2 hours prior to the ceremony taking place. I was in city wedding photography heaven! The skate park in the famous Baltic Triangle area was being worked on as we passed it, builders everywhere. I suggested we pop inside to use the colourful graffiti backdrop for one of their portraits, making sure to include in the shot some of the rubble and a wheel from one of the builders bikes. I’m so glad we did because this wall has sadly been painted over with a huge mural advertisement for Netflix. An insight into what a cool area it was before more huge corporations get hold of it for good.
Photo by Paul Fletcher Photography – This photo was taken in the Meeting House on the Sussex University campus and it was imperative that I shot lots of images that showed off the beautiful and interesting stained glass windows. This photo was a particular favourite for the moments before the ceremony and the colours too.
Love and the sun
Photo by Roney Rufino – We climb a big mountain, where extreme sports are practiced. The place is known as the TOP OF THE WORLD. The cold wind of the dusk in winter made everyone very cold, but it was lovely to see the love of the couple, much warmer than the sun!
Photo by Liam Carroll // ZT Photography – Fun wedding times…taken in Cheshire, UK.
Photo by inimmagine di Roberto Schiumerini – The colors of this sunset surrounds this married couple helping to make the magical atmosphere.
Beauty at the beach
Photo by once upon a wedding photography – this shot was taken with the mist coming in but still strong blue skies
and the colour of the beauty dress is striking.
Photo by once upon a wedding photography – I love the colours of this beach thai take away shack and i thought that the groomsmen
would look great with that as a back drop.
Photo by J S Coates Wedding Photograophy – Taken at the beautiful Cowley Manor and featuring the wonderful Jonathan & Kurtis. We had spent some time exploring the glorious green gardens this venue had to offer and I stumbled across an old looking shack with a red door that I thought would match their buttonholes and break up all the green backdrops we had been using. I wanted to add a splash more colour, so using a CD (remember those ha ha) I used it to catch the sun and it created a beautiful rainbow effect perfectly fitting the photo.
Photo by Nabis Photographers/Chiara Ridolfi – Annie got married in Synagogue in Rome in the morning. Then we took some photos in the center of Rome and , in the evening, they organized a marvelous wedding party in the Cinecitta studios, in particular in the set of the Ancient Rome.
Photo by Stefano Ferrier – I always love those moments prior the Bride walks down the aisle, here I wanted to depict that moment, thanks to the colours harmony and a beautiful background.
The first dance
Photo by Stefano Ferrier – I was in Northern Italy during a Wedding in an ancient monastery, the first dance was starting and then suddenly I noted the beautiful game of lights and I promptly asked the deejay to aim them directly in front of me, little did I know that it was going to become a great result.
Photo by Hayley Pettit Photography & Film – I took this when shooting my first destination wedding in the South Of France a couple of years back.
It was on a little beach near Perpignan and as September was coming to an end, so was the idyllic beach wedding weather. We were all a little concerned as the skies were darkening and the wind was causing chaos (think mini beach sandstorm!) However, as soon as I arrived at the little beach hut cafe where the reception was to be held, I forgot all about the weather and quickly fell in love!
The entire hut was built using these colourful wooden,up cycled shutters, which I later found out are taken down at the end of each season and rebuilt again in the spring. This was to be the last week they were up before they were packed away for winter. The skies cleared, just in time for the ceremony, only to darken again shortly after and these lush vibrant colours provided a beautiful backdrop for some of their Bride & Groom portraits.
Photo by Albert Palmer Photography – Taken outside a village church in rural Oxfordshire… Alice and Darioush exit the church and are treated by a storm of coloured confetti. This is one of my favourites from their wedding… and it took them a while to get all of the confetti off of them afterwards!
Photo by Eye of the Tyne Photography – Infrared LOVE. Inspired by the now discontinued Kodak Infrared film, which was developed by the U.S Army for aerial reconnaissance in the 1940’s. It took me weeks and lots of experimenting with various infrared filters to get my head around this photography technique. I wanted to try and incorporate it into my wedding work and I’ve been blown away with the result!
Photo by Sam & Louise Photography – Using colour isn’t something that has to be reserved for the day time. We captured this colourful carousel snap after dark at Ashley & Jon’s wedding, which took place at Pynes House in Devon. They opted for a funfair themed day, so they had bucket loads of colour at every turn. We wanted to showcase the fact that night time doesn’t have to be dull and dark.
Photo by Sam & Louise Photography – We love using colour in our work and really make a point of trying to capture the atmosphere and feel of a wedding day. A big part of most couple’s plans are dictated by the season or the time of year. Lucy & James were blessed with a super bright spring day where the blossom was in full bloom. So of course we had to use it as a key feature in their photos!
Pizza Is Life
Photo by Zo Taylor / ZT Photography – Rach and Tony’s super-duper Manchester wedding // UK
Photo by S.R.Urwin Wedding Photography – This was the cake cutting ceremony at the wedding of Bhabana and Dale. After a church ceremony in Oxford, the couple had their wedding breakfast at Milton Hill House, a grand Georgian venue set in 22 acres of parkland. Uplighters had been used and the room was awash with with bright violet light which allowed me to capture these vibrant images.
Photo by firstname.lastname@example.org – This was the lovely wedding day of Yoana & Dimitar which took place in May 2019 in Varna, Bulgaria. The little flower girls were gathering together just before the church ceremony at Varna cathedral.
Wedding Traditions in Bulgaria
Photo by Vonlè Art – This was the lovely wedding day of Radina & Viktor which took place in June 2018 in Medovo village, Bulgaria. Guests were dancing the typical Bulgarian folklore circle dance called “horo” famous for its specific rhythm and the bright colored dresses.
Sunset in Capri
Photo by TONOLINI NICOLA – A perfect sunset in Capri Island. After the ceremony from the private villa in Anacapri.
Photo by Nicola Tonolini – The bride is ready!

Blooms of Colour
Photo by Fiona Walsh Photography – I love to edit in bright and bold colours, just to reflect the love and celebration of the wedding. Life is bursting with love all around us and I like to show that in my work. Be inspired by the beauty around you. It’s there.
Photo by Mr Sleeve – Sarah is the bride seen here making the last few tiny adjustments to her stunning traditional Bengali wedding outfit. The colours across the whole wedding were incredible from the paint throwing at the Gaye Holud to the fresh flowers that decorated the family home and garden – which was used for the events. This photo was taken in one of the bedrooms of the family’s Cheshire home minutes before Sarah was revealed to family and friends waiting for her in the garden.
Destination Cherry Blossom Engagement
Photo by Lisa Lander Photographhy – Janessa and Cameron are both teachers who live about 4 hours away from each other. I was hired to photograph their destination wedding and was able to catch them for an engagement session during the Cherry Blossom season in Vancouver Canada this spring. Cameron makes Janessa laugh and her smile is infectious. They are wonderfully colourful in personality and their outfits were a perfect reflection of that. His complements here and hers is well, wonderfully colourful.
Daisy + Ben
Photo by Hannah Hall Photography – It rained a lot on Daisy + Ben’s wedding day, but the colour of the brollies and guest outfits, combined with Daisy’s outrageously wonderful and colourful floral crown and bouquet go to prove the wet weddings definitely don’t have to look as dull as the weather!
Sikh the light!
Photo by Matt Selby photography – BTS from a Sikh temple silhouette. Nothing but a single flash in a small reflector and a mirror I found in a pantry.
Photo by Magia Obrazu – Everything was perfect in that moment full of love, full of colors and romantic atmosphere – Beautiful newlyweds Basia & Alex, colorful sunset above the mountains and even stylish Cadillac – perfect match.
Photo by Magia Obrazu – We woke up in the middle of the night to be ready for the sunrise session with beautiful golden colours. Even in the early morning Kasia & Łukasz were so energic and cheerful and beautifully in love.
Sian + James
Photo by Hannah Hall Photography – Sian and James married at Cranford Hall in a gorgeous sail cloth tent. Their band, Tru Groove were awesome and kept the dancefloor full all night. This image isn’t from their first dance, it was a bit later on in the evening – it looks a bit like a couple dance off! I love dance floor photos when the band or dj light up the space with colours, and Tru Groove did it perfectly.
Having your cake and eating it
Photo by Hana Laurie Alternative Wedding Photographer – Cake shots can be pretty dull, and static, and formal… Emma and Pete and I just decided to get all up in there for theirs. Such was our desire to get on and eat it. The whole wedding was in rainbow colours with amazing lanterns and flowers, and the super bright teapot cake didn’t disappoint either!
Red is For Love
Photo by Fiona Walsh Photography – This one blew us away when we looked at the back of the camera. It all worked spectacularly. I remember it being the first one of the season, the last photo of the day, and just adoring being with my couple who were like friends to me. We had such a laugh doing it, with the help of the groom’s friend.
