We feature this lovely wedding captured by Lee Meek that took place at Farnham Castle in Surrey. We shall hand over to Lee to talk about the day.
Hi, I’m Lee, a wedding photojournalist, I document lovely wedding stories all over the UK.
This is one of those stories. Back in October 2016, Jessica & Lewis got married at Farnham Castle in Surrey (a really beautiful venue featuring food by the galloping gourmet team – the best wedding food I’ve tried by a long shot).
The happy couple had so much fun which makes my job a real delight. I want you to enjoy this set of images from their day.
One of my favourite things about weddings is I get to have a prime seat for witnessing the emotions, most notably being the loving emotional connection between the bride & groom and their parents (this wedding had lots of it… Lots). Lewis the groom was in the wedding band (who was actually really good). Keeping the Texas theme strong the bride switched to cowgirl boots in the evening. Everyone drank shots on the dancefloor and danced the night away (I really didn’t want to leave).
A Little note about myself and my work:
I’m Lee, a full time wedding photojournalist. Couples hire me who want a real, honest document of their wedding presented in pictures. On the day of a wedding I don’t touch or move anything, I don’t shout or direct at all, in fact I am one of the least bossy people you could ever hope to meet. I like to think of myself as a guest with a camera who’s job it is to just watch events unfold (a professional people watcher if you like). I also like to make really creative slideshows and photofilms which my couples appreciate after the honeymoon. My whole philosophy is that weddings are a celebration of love and not a photo-shoot.
