Birtsmorton Court Wedding in Malvern

Today we feature the lovely wedding of Stephen and Lisa who got married at Birtsmorton Court in Malvern. Their wedding day was captured by Andrew Hackett Photography.

About the couple: To be honest, I don’t give personal details out about the couple. What I do know is they are obviously very much in love. Both the bride and groom were positively horizontal, they were both so relaxed, no nerves just pure excitement at the thought of getting married to one another. Stephen and Lisa’s

“I travel all over the country from North to South, East to West but I am always happy when I have a local wedding to photograph. I am truly blessed to do what I love and I appreciate couples putting their trust in me to capture their special day! Because I accept only a limited number of weddings each year, I like to get to know my clients very well to ensure we are a good fit. Once I met Stephen and Lisa, I knew my style of photography would compliment their wedding day.

Stephen and Lisa chose Birtsmorton Court in Malvern, South West Worcestershire, for their ceremony and wedding reception. It was the first time I had worked at Birtsmorton Court – it boasts fantastic period interiors, stunning landscape, a medieval moat and bags of character!

The wedding morning began at Lisa’s parents home with all her Bridesmaids, a champagne breakfast and the excitement building. Lisa chose the family home where she grew up as it was very close to her wedding venue. With hair and make-up done, Lisa and the Bridesmaids headed to Birtsmorton Court. I carried on ahead to photograph Stephen and the boys. The weather was perfect when Lisa arrived with her father at the wedding venue.

Their ceremony was held in the Great Hall. The light in the hall is sublime with huge windows, everything a natural light photographer wants! Stephen and Lisa’s wedding reception continued in the stunning landscaped gardens of Birtsmorton Court and their wedding breakfast in a beautiful marquee on the grounds. Their party continued well into the evening with party games and a fantastic jazz band.

I always endeavour to photograph people without direction, to capture the wedding as the story and events unfold in a natural and genuine way. Stephen and LIsa’s wedding was a very relaxed and emotional day. I particularly like the images captured when
Stephen, Lisa and myself slipped away to explore the grounds of Birtsmorton Court, a good time for the Bride and Groom to talk about and reflect on the days events and hopefully I captured the tender moments that unfolded.

No wedding day is complete without family and friends, a big thank you to both, it was an honour being chosen to photograph Stephen and Lisa’s wedding”.

How would you describe your photography style? My style of photography is natural and unobtrusive, I like to tell the complete story, from the small detail to the awesome moments.

What did you love about the day? How relaxed both the Bride and Groom were, it shows in the photography!

What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding day? That’s easy….enjoy the day!
