Aoife and Conors City Wedding

We share Aoife and Conors City Wedding captured by Joshua Patrick.

The Day

Aoife and Conor, what can I say? A wonderfully warm pair, both with an awesome sense of humour and an incredible way of lighting up a room. The day itself was great from start to finish. A city wedding through and through, starting in the stunning Norwich Lanes and ending in The Georgian Townhouse. This hidden oasis a perfect little escape from the city hustle and a joy of a venue for a wedding.

Aoife and her sister Aifric got ready together at The Townhouse and Conor got ready with his brother at home. He arrived at The Townhouse in a classic White Caddy but not before I got some shots of them as they rode through the city.

Aoife and Conor had planned a secret ‘first look’ before the ceremony. This super intimate meeting was held on the rooftops of the townhouse and I’d advise anyone to do a ‘first look’ they’re ace!

The weather was turning in and after the ceremony, the bridal party strolled to a local Victorian garden just as the rain started to fall we arrived. The rain fell, and the atmosphere grew, the garden seemed to come alive. After some photos in the garden, myself Aoife and Conor went to the local Temple Bar. Aoife and Conor couldn’t pass up an opportunity of the best pint of Guinness in Norwich. Not a patch on the real thing but as close as you’ll get.

The joyous atmosphere continued through the day and into the evening celebrations! A great party went on into the night and this wedding has been one of the highlights of my year.

About Josh

My name is Josh and I am a Norwich based creative, contemporary storyteller, or something like that. I love creating lasting memories and I am a sucker for a love story. I love food (I used to be a chef) Travel, mountain climbing and the forest. To be honest anything to do with nature. I wild swim often and run a bit. I have a beautiful wife and a glorious little boy, and all of this is my inspiration. I like to show life and soul in my work and tell the story of you, your day and everything in-between.

Advice

Trust yourself. Plan the day around the things you love most. Take little breaks on the day, a quick 5 mins just you and your love will give you time to soak up all that wedding-y goodness. Drink water. Have fun!

Quote from there Bride

Awesome Photographer – We got married in August 2017 and we really couldn’t have picked a better photographer! Beforehand, we met Josh for a drink and chatted, he was really friendly and accommodating to everything we wanted and made a great effort to learn the crazy Irish names of our families. On the day, Josh was fab, he helped keep things calm, and even went away and bought my Mum a disposable camera as she had forgotten hers. The photos are exactly what we wanted, everybody looks natural, happy and the colours are so gorgeous. Not to mention the amazing picture of the wedding car…

Since the wedding, pretty much every single guest has mentioned what a great photographer we had and said he was “just like a guest, but in a good way”. Josh got everyone laughing and smiling and really captured the relaxed vibe we had at the wedding. Thanks so much again Josh! Aoife and Conor x
