I get to cover weddings at some of the most beautiful countryside locations in County Durham, Yorkshire & Northumberland. I love shooting all over the UK however, so do get in touch to discuss. I shoot 99% candid, documentary photography of the day. No posing, no dragging you away from your guests for 2 hours. Laughter, emotion and love captured throughout the day.

My style is all about capturing moments as they happen, nothing posed. Natural, unobtrusive and relaxed. I don't believe a photographer needs to interfere with the day at all, I work with and around any situation well and and capture everything as it happens. I think with my work you can see the emotion in the image. The happiness, the love, the laughter.
Weddings bring everyone together, it can be one of the only events in someones life where all the people they love are in the same room. It becomes your moment to tell these people how much they mean to you. So many different emotions run throughout the day, parents, grandparents, friends, everyone is in such high spirits and having such a lovely time. Its an infectious atmosphere, which to me never gets old.
Research. Each photographers style is injected with their personality, does it match what you are wanting? Your big day is a reflection of your personality as well, so who is the best match to photograph it? You want to remember your day with how it felt looking back in years to come, I believe the wrong style of photos can change that.
Joss was amazing on our wedding day. He captured every moment how we imagined he would, and was so relaxed and made us feel at easy. I would highly reccomend Joss to anyone who wants amazing photos and a relaxed atmosphere.

Joss was an absolute dream to work with. So relaxed, friendly and professional.
He made sure to touch base with us enough (but not too much) before our wedding day, so that we already felt very comfortable with him when we met him in person for the first time.
On the wedding day itself, Joss fit in so well with our wedding party. He took the time to make us all feel at ease in front of the camera, whilst never missing a great photo opportunity. We received plenty of comments from our guests on how approachable he was, which made it easier to get photos with the people we wanted to (as well as plenty of the amazing candid ones he is known for!).
We've just got our photos back and are in love with Joss' style. It's been particularly amazing to see our guests' honest, candid and often hilarious reactions. He has captured our day perfectly and was a pleasure to have at our wedding.
From our first call with Joss we knew he was the photographer for us. It felt like we were catching up with a friend, and he completely put us at ease as two people who couldn’t think of anything worse than posing in front of a camera.
We were both adamant that we didn’t want to miss too much of our day by going off for photographs and Joss assured us this wouldn’t be the case. On the day I honestly think we had family portraits for no longer than 10-15 mins, while he still managed to capture every single group shot we asked for!
We really enjoyed our couple portraits as it gave us a bit of time to ourselves. We didn’t feel awkward in front of Joss at all - he went from being our biggest cheerleader at times to feeling like he wasn’t even there for the more intimate shots.
We spent a bit of time before the day showing Joss the type of photos we would like and he captured them all effortlessly. We are utterly obsessed with our gallery (which he somehow managed to get back to us within 1 week!) and we are genuinely struggling to narrow them down to put into an album. I think all of his galleries speak for themselves - fun, unposed images which speak a thousand words. Each moment he’s captured has taken us both back to how we were feeling in that exact moment - something that I don’t think you get with posed photographs.
All of our guests commented how great he was to have around all day, and I cannot express how calm he kept us both on the morning. If he was ever panicking about timings, he never let it show to us! He is a dream to have around.
It’s an absolute bonus that he stays to capture the dancefloor too - some of our best pictures are of our guests enjoying themselves! As Joss stays later on the day, it also meant we had time to do a few more portraits later on once we’d both relaxed a bit which are some of our favourites.
We could not recommend him any more if we tried. You will not regret your decision if you choose Joss to capture your day!
