Unique, stylish and perfect photography. Documenting your big day from start to finish.

***** Please note my website is down this week but should be back online next week. Thanks. Chris. *****

I’ve traveled the world as a fashion and portrait photographer shooting campaigns for some of the biggest names on the high street like Clarks, White Stuff and Hobbs of London to name but a few. I’ve photographed some of the biggest names in film and television from Steve Martin to Sean Connery to Michale Palin and now I’d like to photograph your big day. You can view my commercial work here –

I’ve always loved photographing people. I think it’s the simplicity, and the fact there’s always the possibility you’ll capture something truly unexpected when you photograph natural emotion and real life. No two days are ever the same.
I love natural light, there’s simply nothing like it and even when working with studio lighting and flash I use natural daylight as my inspiration.

I approach every wedding shoot in exactly the same way I approach every shoot I’ve ever done – it’s the most important shoot of my career so far.

How would you describe your style?

I am always a little bit hesitant about describing my photographic style with words. I am very happy to let my work do all the talking. If I had to say anything, and going on the feedback I get from couples, I'd say my style is relaxed. If I'm worried because it's just started raining outside you'll never know it. I know from experience that whatever happens come rain, snow, hail or wind or any other little-unexpected hiccup, I'll get the shots, somehow, I always do.

What do you love about weddings?

I love photographing people, that's been the starting point of all my work for my whole career. I'm just as comfortable photographing the Prime Minister in Downing Street as I am shooting a series of street portraits in Harlem, NY for the Observer Magazine. To me, it's all the same thing with one common factor - people. And that's how I approach every wedding. Yes, it's a wedding but more importantly, it's life, it's history and it's people.

Advice for couples planning their wedding?

That's a tricky question but I'm a firm believer in trusting your gut instincts. Putting aside the photographer's skills or creative approach I'd say go with someone you like and know you can get along with. Your photographer will be a big part of your day and will never be far from your side so quite simply choose someone you like.
I would also add that you should look for someone who is genuinely enthusiastic about your big day and doesn't see it as just another wedding - bride number 28 of the year. That's one sure way to get the same set of pictures as brides 1 to 27 - if that makes any sense.
