I love adventure.

I love seeing two people get married, whether that’s at a local wedding, on a beach or in the middle of a forest. Your wedding day is exactly as you want it and I intend to capture the day as it unfolds, focussing on the in-between, the unposed and the natural happiness of the day.

As I graduated university (with a first class in photography, I might add) I insisted that I would never photograph weddings as they seemed like a lot of stress and hard work. I then photographed a wedding – it wasn’t at all how I imagined it. It was full of love, happiness and seeing two people standing in front of their family and friends declaring that they have decided that there is no one else in the world for them. The other thing I love most about weddings is their spontaneity, just as I think I’ve seen everything something completely mad and wonderful happens – there is no other event that this can happens. Weddings are wonderful and I have the best job in the world being able to be a part of so many.

As the years have gone on, I have discovered my style which I would describe as romantic and relaxed. I photograph happiness – nothing more, nothing less.

How would you describe your style?

My style is first and foremost relaxed. When I arrive at bridal preparation I'm not there to cause unnecessary stress, I will capture things as they unfold. When it comes to your portraits, we'll have already done an engagement shoot as I find this is the best way for you to feel comfortable with me and my camera - without the engagement shoot things feel more awkward than they need to be, as you have the fear of the unknown. The way I shoot is very relaxed, its all about the two of you. That's it, nothing more complicated.

What do you love about weddings?

Your friends and your family. Meeting new people is the best thing about my job - especially at such a happy event. My second favourite is visiting new places, I love adventure and no venue is too far.

Our photos are insanely beautiful

I found Amelia online while researching London wedding photographers, and her modern, documentary style photography was exactly what we were looking for. We were our venue's first ever wedding, and Amelia's advice and input on timings was invaluable.

Amelia's service is professional and thoughtful - from a little pre-wedding surprise ;) to the presentation box for our USB stick.

She was an incredible asset on the day, especially considering there were so many of us in the family/bridal party for her to manage all by herself. She took unexpected issues in her stride (taxi ordering, knicker holding, gate-crashed photos...!).

Our pictures are insanely beautiful. They truly captured the energy of the day and we will treasure them for life. That power shot, w.o.w! Thank you Amelia :)
