Hi, I'm David
Shropshire based, story-telling wedding photographer.
I take great pleasure in celebrating the best day of a couple’s lives, and have the sole responsibility to document those “once in a lifetime” memories for you to reminisce over for the rest of time. There’s something really cool about that.
“Genuine, enthusiastic and down to earth” are just a few of the adjectives used to describe my personality. I make it my absolute aim to familiarise myself with your guests. However, it goes without saying that some awful jokes will be shared and dance moves showcased – It’s all part of the service.
The long and short of it however, is that you have instilled your trust in my ability. Above all, it is my duty to produce fun, tearful and just down right awesome photos that you can relive and enjoy whenever you fancy! In other words, give me the nod and I will be there to enjoy it with you. Hope I can help.
How would you describe your style?
I'm a creative, unposed, documentary story-teller Shropshire, but happy to make memories across the UK and Worldwide. My sole aim is to document your day in the most natural and emotive way possible. Weddings are filled with unprovoked smiles and laughter, so why force it? I like to stand by, watch events unravel organically. I can guarantee a portfolio of photographs which accurately portrays your Big Day that I know you'll laugh/smile/cry at for years to come.
What do you love about weddings?
Being a wedding photographer is literally the best job in the world. Having shot nearly 500 weddings during my decade in the trade, I have great confidence in my service and ability. With such experience, I tend not get any pre wedding nerves or anxiety, so I can really focus my energy on the day itself, the wonderful people and best of all, my creativity.
I love being able to visit new locations, new venues and the range of different suppliers within the industry.
I have made some great friends doing what I do, and keep in touch with many of my couples, all of which support me through recommendations, and by being a loyal fan base on my social media platforms.
Advice for couples planning their wedding?
There are two boxes to tick when selecting your wedding photographer.
You have to have an obsession with their work - That goes without saying. Equally as important however, is the photographer's personality. My average coverage is 10-12 hours, so a large percentage of your day, will have me in attendance. So find a photographer that is personable, easy going, and happy to merge amongst the guests seamlessly. If you and your guests are comfortable around your photographer, your photos will show exactly that. A portfolio which is natural and shows you and your party off in the most relaxed way. Definitely no awkward, rigid grinning at the camera.
Arrange a zoom and get to know your photographer before booking in.
Your Travel policy?
All UK travel costs are inclusive of my full day photography rate. For weddings taking place more than 2 hours away from my home location, a night of accommodation would be required, to male sure that I am nearby on the morning of your wedding. You can never trust the Great British roads!
Please drop me a message for pricing involved with international travel. I LOVE a destination wedding and have travelled as far as Goa and Bali. I'd love to see some more of the world whist doing what I do best!
