I am Ian the photographer behind A Very French Wedding. I live in SW France but I cover weddings throughout France, the UK and beyond. I have been a professional photographer for over 15 years and I am a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers of the UK, which guarantees my work is of a professional standard.
My passion is to tell the story of your special day from start to finish in a relaxed and informal style with no uncomfortable posing. I see myself as being extremely lucky to be able to combine my passion for photography with a love of working with a wide variety of amazing people and visiting beautiful locations. I am very easy to work with and have a really good sense of humour !
Above all I believe that my images have a beautiful, light natural feel that express the joy and excitement of the day and reflect the emotion of the moment and the unconditional love between two people on their wedding day.
I hope we can share your day together.
My style is very relaxed and informal, no uncomfortable posing! I like to use movement as much as possible during the day and to keep everyone laughing and smiling. I am a documentary wedding photographer so I am telling the story of the day from the start through to the finish, recording all the little details in between the pictures of my couples and their family and friends. I never like to take the bride and groom away from everyone for too long and break my photography sessions up into much smaller moments throughout the day.
The reason I love weddings is simply, I really love working with people and couples that are in love. There is something very pure about it, but also I have the chance to really photograph a couple in a special way, to capture their love story and make something extraordinary for each couple. I am recording special moments throughout the day which will be a permanent record long after the cake has been eating and the flowers wilted.
It is so important that you connect with and like your wedding photographer, if cannot get to meet them face to face always arrange a Skype or Facetime chat, even with a short conversation you can get some idea of how you will get on. Always ask to see complete weddings from your photographer, there are a lot of aspiring inexperienced wedding photographers that just post
I am happy to travel to all parts of France
