We feature real weddings and engagement shoots, however today we have a beautiful Scandinavian styled wedding shoot captured by Ben of Walker & Walker Photographers. Wedding Photography duo Ben and Lynn are based in the UK and cover weddings all over the country and Internationally.
Ben said “The styled shoot was organised by Lisa Land; a Norwegian Wedding blogger/stylist, as a way of giving film shooters the opportunity to sample the locations, styling and hospitality. British film shooting professionals as well as digital shooters can often find it challenging to create balance, as to produce something relevant for their upcoming portfolio in their own creative style may be difficult for many reasons including a tight brief the client may have, a lack of artistic choice, time and the weather being heavy factors. Plus many clients like to keep their photographs private, which we allow them to do so shoots like these are crucial to keep the artist fresh.
A number of beautiful creative elements were set up to support the work. A number of professional photographers from around Europe attended to share ideas and produce some amazing work, all of which has been privately showcased.”
“The whole experience was one of great value as the collective group all admired not only our style of work but also the many beautiful British locations featured on our blog; which is nice when your peers genuinely appreciate the intentions! The styled shoot started with a stay at the Kongsvinger Fort, where we were introduced to each other over wine in the vintage wine cellar. Shooting began early with day one being wedding couple and day two was love shooting. Ben was treated to wonderful Norwegian delicacies, handmade treats and rolls of film sponsored by Carmencita film lab; who process all of Ben’s film stock.”
“We wanted to share with photographers and followers alike, as in Britain we feel there’s some stigma surrounding styling shoots that aren’t produced for clients and workshops. Styling events are necessary for anyone who wants to keep their work fresh, current and relevant to attract those all important new clientele as the British wedding market constantly evolves, although showing a balanced portfolio which includes genuine weddings shows the true measure of a photographers worth. The experience of style shooting abroad was a fantastic honour and privilege to be a part of.”
