How would you describe your style?
We like to think of our style as romantic. It's artistic, fine art and editorial whilst also maintaining a natural, authentic and documentary like approach.
We are very relaxed, and will take our lead from you. When given permission we love to be creative. Our chief priority is capturing those natural and candid moments throughout the day
When it comes to portraits we love to experiment, but what matters most is reading how at ease our clients are. When we edit our galleries and films we try to edit them through the eyes of nostalgia, keeping true to how things were on the day whilst also adding a touch drama to the memory.
What do you love about weddings?
What's not to love? The celebration, the excitement, the party! And then there's those tender moments, the coming together of families and communities. It's a significant milestone in the lives individuals.
Advice for couples planning their wedding?
Find someone that appreciates their art, but understands this this must play second fiddle to the wider purpose of the day, find someone who values what you value. They after all will be your eyes for the day. To a large degree what they capture will be what you remember.
Find someone that's genuine. Genuine as a person but also in their work, stay clear of fussy and formal photos, it's painful in the moment and even more so when you look back at 2 dimensional photo absent of memory or emotion. Candid and organic photography should be non intrusive and sure fire way to capture those precious moments.
There are tones of excellent photographers out there, some are brilliant at big dramatic shots, some at capturing candid moments, one thing we often find in this industry is there is a considerable lack of authentic photography, and by that we mean photos that accurately capture their subject. It's all well and good when having a great landscape behind you but when the photo doesn't look like you... that is something really disconcerting. As photographers our number one mission is to capture that person for all their natural and authentic beauty. Choose someone that you can see truly appreciates the natural. Photoshop is the downfall of many great photographers!
