We’re Carol and Paul. We capture weddings in a totally unobtrusive way, shooting silently and naturally, without asking anyone to move, smile or pose. For us, it’s all about natural moments, real laughs and smiles, not forced poses or anything unnecessarily set up. We do, of course, still shoot some group formals and love capturing beautiful portraits, but these are done in a laid back, relaxed way. We want our couples to be enjoying their wedding – not be taking part in a photo shoot.
Based in North East Hampshire, we cover weddings all over the South East and will travel further for the right clients – including destination weddings. Carol is the ex-Art Director of one of the UK’s biggest wedding magazines, while Paul is an ex-London fashion photographer. We bring a wealth of experience to any wedding and have been capturing weddings together for the last 9 years.
We’ve been a couple for 25 years and work seamlessly together to create stunning imagery that is unique to you as a couple and reflects your day, not just another wedding. We’d love to chat to you further about your wedding plans so do get in touch.
Our standard package is both of us shooting, however Paul is also available to shoot solo if your budget won’t stretch to two photographers.
Paul & Carol
We are documentary wedding photographers covering all types of weddings, large or small. The most important factor for us is natural images, not posed. The only thing you should have to pose for on your wedding day is a few group shots and some couple portraits - everything else is 100% unposed. You'll barely even notice us taking your picture.
Creating amazing images from couples wedding days, capturing natural emotions, and creating something totally beyond our couples expectations is always fantastic for us. We are both creatives and our photography is our artistic release. Great images are about understanding light, composition and moment - and we use our years of experience to create magical memories. If you are getting married at the local registry office or a spectacular castle - it's a privileged position to be at each wedding we shoot and to get to know all our couples and their friends and family.
Consistency is key to finding any good wedding photographer. Look beyond one or two images that you like, ask to see some full weddings. The only way you can have any real idea of what you might receive from a wedding photographer is to do some research. Compare a few different weddings that they've shot. They might have different couples, different venues etc. but every single wedding a good photographer shoots should look like their work. If you were booking Picasso to paint your portrait, you'd expect to get a painting in the style of Picasso! It's the same with photographers. It's not about one or two 'wow' images, it's about creating a consistent set of images from the bridal prep right through to the first dance - at each and every wedding. That comes with experience and talent.
