I’m a photographer that has been shooting images since about the age of 7, when my parents did one of the best things they could have ever done – put a camera in my hands. It was a tiny 110 flip camera but I still vividly remember the feeling of excitement back then – sending off your film to see what came back!! I still love to click the shutter, its an obsession that just stays with me and I’m driven by the creation of imagery that tells a story, hence my attraction to shooting weddings. My own family memories are held dear, with two small children growing up fast and therefore I look to create memories for others too, so they can look back in years to come at those important moments in time.
My style of photography is relaxed and unobtrusive to ensure you enjoy your day. I shoot in a mixture of colour and black and white with a lean towards a documentary style. I'm happy to shoot groups shots and couples as well.
I love the characters, the bling, the story telling and the heirloom that is created for the future. We don't always appreciate how important those images will be until some time after the event but as time passes, their value increases. Everyone is happy at weddings and even if there are some tears, they are usually joyful ones - it is the roller coaster of human emotions that you experience at weddings and each one is so different. I love 'em!
To take time to consider the style of photography that hits the spot for them, to swap mails, ask questions and try to speak or better still, meet up with their chosen photographer to make they hit it off - after all you will spend all day together. I also suggest couples provide their list of group photos requests well in advance to avoid stress on the day. I also remind couples to stand back and take time out of their day to make some mental pictures of their own as it goes sooooo quickly. Most of all, have fuuuunnn!!
