There’s a few traits that I have when shooting a wedding, top of that list is how well I fit in with the wedding. I believe the way that I interact with your guests and how well I judge the feel of the day is the best way to get your pictures.

I’m there to shoot the story of your day, I do love the romance but equally love the party. When necessary I am unobtrusive and dictate as little as possible. Some of the best photos come from unrehearsed situations and I feel that emotional content is just as important as camera wizardry. Equally I won’t shy away from getting involved and setting a scene to get the best possible images, like groupshots; they’re a painstaking process if not orchestrated properly, so I’ll usually just ask bride and groom to assume position, draft in the biggest groomsman and get your guests in and out. No faffing, promise.

I’m not the type of photographer who’s happy with what comes out of the camera. Every single photo needs some amount of attention, sometimes it’s just a few tweaks. Sometimes it’s about creating something that’s simply not possible through a lens alone.

I look for the small bits that make huge memories; that kiss after the speeches, the first look on the aisle, the moment where you've escaped the crowds and say 'I can't believe we've just got married!'

I love the party and the fun starts after the first dance, which is why you'll find me there till well into the night. It tells the story, from bridal prep to messy guests, it's what makes your big day yours!

Getting to know the couples is a huge priority, making them feel completely at ease is a must. Fitting in as one of your guests gets me the best possible opportunities to shoot those moments.

The majority of my day is spent documenting, I'm super fast and organised when it comes to group shots and couple time is laidback and relaxed, capturing those beautiful moments without any major orchestrating!

My favourite part is watching the couples, months before their wedding go from the organised planning side to the lead up to the ceremony. Seeing every emotion they have and being responsible for delivering exactly that.

Getting to know the couples well ahead of their big day really involves me and you'll see huge smiles from behind my camera as I watch you both say 'I do'

The dance floor get's my creativity flowing and your guests inhibitions allow for some very un-wedding photos, but I love that, the contrast between the romance and the drunken messes, that's the story... that's the wedding.
