Firstly, congratulations on the decision to get married…it is a very exciting time for you both!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little more. Sure, you need a wedding photographer. But you want more than just pictures. You don’t want only to remember the facts; you want to recall the feelings you had on your wedding day. You want to remember the emotions. You want to see the invisible. You want to be able to re-experience those fleeting moments that will otherwise flicker away, almost unknowingly.
Let me tell you why I might be the right person to help you with that.
My wife and I got married way back in 1992 and we had what would be described as traditional wedding photos taken. We have an album with some very stiff looking people in groups, and nothing else. In those days, that was all you would expect.
When we set our photography business up we decided to provide couples with what we now wish that we had been able to have. Photographs that captured the emotion, the intensity, the candid moments, yes the group shots, plus some really WOW pictures that we could hang on our living room wall.
The service we offer our couples is based around these four areas:
>> Capturing the story of your special day
>> Capturing the emotion of both you and your guests celebrating and enjoying with you
>> Capturing some WOW for you to coo over
>> Treasuring your memories in an album – all our collections are based around your album.
We love albums. We love big, full print Italian albums that make you stop and stare. Everything from the handcrafted Italian leather cover (we also offer a non-leather version) down to the luxurious presentation box it comes in.
Just because we love albums does not mean you miss out on digital files. All our collections include an online gallery of your images from your day for sharing and download.
We may be a little different from other photographers in that we do not charge for travel (within the UK) or have a specific number of hours. Your wedding day is for the full day – from brides breakfast to the very last dance (and wave goodbye).
You can find out more about us on our website and can read through the promise we make to all of our brides and grooms.
We wish you every happiness on your big day, and every day after that.
We use storytelling to capture each of the special moments throughout your day. Some of my photography is documentary style 'fly on the wall' where I capture the natural magic of your wedding day as it unfolds. But I also create a little magic of my own whilst telling the full story of your special day. My approach will make your day as memorable as could be. A combination of your personal style with a sprinkle of my artistic storytelling will set the scene for your dream wedding to remember again and again.
The romance, the drama, the emotion...your wedding day will have it all. The skill of a wedding photographer is not only to document the facts of the day but to bring the romance, drama and emotion flooding back. I love the whole wedding experience - but I must say that the best part as a photographer is watching the reaction when my couples see their photos for the first time. Tears, laughter, oohs and aahs.
Meet your photographer in person. You are considering trusting this person with capturing the story of your wedding day that will remain with you for the rest of your lives. You want them to be focused on you and your day. Meeting someone face to face makes all the difference. Trust your instincts and get a feel for if you would get along with them. Of course, check out their website, sample albums, reviews too! My second piece of advice is to go for the best photography you can afford - you usually get what you pay for. Once the cake is eaten, the drink all gone, the honeymoon over and the dress stored away in the loft - you have your photos to remember your day. Invest in remembering your story for the rest of your lives - almost everything else is just for the day.
I travel within the UK at no cost. International travel to be discussed with couples on an individual basis.
