I have always had a love of photography, it is a way of life a passion and with a love of people it is only natural that I find myself photographing people, I originally went to art school in Surrey and found myself spending many hours in the dark room, creating beautiful photographs seemed like magic. On leaving art school I went into fashion photography which I really loved and it contributed to the skills I now have on getting the best from my brides and grooms. I now spend a lot of me time photographing weddings and celebrations, every bride is beautiful and I use every bit of knowledge I have to use if available natural lights and creative angles, capturing the emotions and happening of the day as they unfold
I have a real love for weddings, each wedding is unique I aims to individualize each wedding and to approach it with the energy and freshness as if it’s the first wedding I’ve ever photographed but drawing on my many years of photographing weddings all over the world.
I am contactable seven days a week and offer a free consultation you can be confident that you will receive a bespoke service and beautiful images presented on an online gallery to share with family and friends. My approach to every wedding is to spend time preparing by talking to the bride and groom and sharing ideas and then creating a mood board so we can make sure we are all on the same page.
A typical wedding day for me would be to start at the Bride or Grooms house, I often work with a 2nd photographer called Beth she and I have worked together for years, which is brilliant as we never miss a shot, by having a second photographer the same time at the beginning of the day can be spent with both the bride and groom and then later in the day we can get different angles of the wedding as well as close ups and long shots, Beth is always available for a small extra charge. We then move onto the location where the ceremony is to be held and then onto the reception. I don’t feel I have done my job unless I photograph the whole day and will stay well after the cutting of the cake, first dance and then the party.
The after wedding service is extremely important, my images are a very important part of my job, I always make sure I deliver the highest possible quality, each print will last a life time and will not fade, it will look as good in 100 years as it does on day one, I am happy to help the bride and groom go through their images and then to select the ones they would like to put into a book or album, or maybe a canvas or portrait photograph. Extra photograph printing is not included in the prices below I use a highly qualified award winning photo lab to ensure the quality is there and only the best paper and printing process is used.
My style is relaxed a blend of reportage with a hint of traditional.
I like to keep my photography as natural as possible, allowing people to be themselves
I do not like to be in people faces with my lens, it is really off putting
Where possible I use natural light as this is more flattering than harsh flash lights
but having said that I never use my flash directly
on to people but find something to bounce it from to soften the effect.
My philosophy is to get fabulous photos is to stay calm and to love what you do.
I love everything about weddings. Starting with meeting the bride and groom to discuss what type of photography they would like for their wedding and then creating a mood board so we both get a feel for what they will get.
I love the anticipation of the day ahead.
Each part of the wedding is beautiful, I love being with the bride or groom preparing, surrounded by friends and family, the laughter and excitement for what lies ahead, and then the wedding itself, its wonderful to see the groom standing looking at his watch, looking slightly nervous, waiting, and then the expression on his face when he sees his bride walking down the aisle looking so breathtakingly stunning, followed by the party and celebration, watching old friends and family meeting each other after what some times can by year and then meeting new friends and family too, its brilliant to capture through my lens everyone having an amazing time, celebrating, hugging, dancing, laughing, all brought together by the bride and groom.
I appreciate so much to be part of this and to have the opportunity to capture this with my camera, my aim is always to give the best possible photography that my clients deserve, each wedding is unique and I approach it with freshness and energy as if its the first wedding I have ever photographed but have the huge advantage of 15 years of experience behind me.
Remember after the wedding day has gone apart from the ring and the clothing the only tangible thing you will have left are the wedding photographs, here are a few points that will help you make the right choice with your photographer....
Always meet your wedding photographer
Don't go with the first person you meet, shop around
Check their equipment
If it is a commercial website as opposed to a freelance photographers site ask to see the wedding photographers personal work and not the general photographs on the site
