Sam uses film and digital photography to capture the story of your wedding, combining the soft romantic fine art aesthetics of film, alongside digital where appropriate, he captures the romantic yet natural aesthetic his work is known for. His style is influenced by the work of contemporary and historic photographers, from the worlds of fashion and documentary photography helping to create an editorial inspired aesthetic.
Raised in London and introduced to the art world at a young age, Sam continually immerses himself in cultural events and travels, helping him to create modern, elegant yet timeless imagery that takes inspiration from a multitude of sources. He was taught to use film as a child in the family darkroom and furthered this learning with a BA in Documentary Photography.
Currently based in Southern Spain, Sam lives with his wife (and second shooter) Helen and his daughter Mae. Being a destination photographer allows him to venture to some of the most beautiful and remote locations across Europe and beyond.
When at home, Sam can be found wandering the shores and mountains with his dog Darcie, kayaking in the lake district, sampling local delicacies, spending time with his wife and daughter. He will always be planning the next road trip or journey, for Sam travel is a part of his nature.
