Wedding at Villa la Casinella (Lake Como)
Today we feature this beautiful wedding of Josiane and Michael that took place by Como Lake in Italy, captured by Swiss wedding photographer Magnus Bogucki.
About the day…
We could only access Villa la Casinella by boat, so that’s how we arrived. It was a magnificent setting. The villa itself is very beautiful – it has that special ‘something’. The day started off by Josiane and Michael getting ready in separate places, and then the guests arrived by boat. Josiane was SO excited when people arrived – it was great to see! Then the ceremony took place just outside the villa with a view of the mountains, followed by the apero and the dinner. A funny ‘incident’ happened during the dinner; the weather was perfect the entire day and out of nowhere it started to rain heavily. We looked up at the sky and only saw blue skies, but directly over the house there was a dark cloud that made the rain. Personally, I think this was the best thing that could have happened because everyone looked for protection from the rain, and whilst they waited, they were served vodka shots from the staff. This ignited the party mood much earlier and people had a great time. Some even suggested to skip dinner and go straight to the party. It was fantastic!
The couple
Before I met Josiane and Michael they told me that they had gone through tough times but together they pulled through. When I met them I could see why they managed to get through it. Both of them are very positive and easy going. Really a lovely couple!

What did you love about the day?
The people, the location and the spontaneous vodka shots when it started to rain.
