Do tell us a little bit about yourself & your Photography Style
The thing I love the most is to photograph weddings: I like the excitement, the energy and the feeling people experience during this moment of their lives. I love to work with natural light and I have a preference for black and white photos. My goal is to find the essence of each couple and to show, with an artistic approach, how the day actually happened. I want them to feel the same emotions again as they look at their weeding album.
I usually define myself as a hunter: I hunt moments people wouldn’t even notice if I was not there to show them. That’s what keeps me trying to do more and more each wedding I shoot.
Carolina married Demian on a beautiful day with a perfect light. We live in the capital of a huge state, Minas Gerais. It’s 600 km far from Rio de Janeiro. It may seem really far, but for Brazilians these distances are pretty common. We have so many precious things to say about our city, and the wonder of nature is definitely one of them.
What I really enjoyed about this day was the atmosphere of the place. It was, indeed, very romantic. The weather was perfect and the ceremony happened next to the mountains. We had the most beautiful landscape as a religious ceremony’s Venue.
I always try to capture the bride’s dresses really well, but this time it was even more special. Carol’s twin sister, Marcella Malloy, who is a well-known fashion designer in Brazil (www.artesacramoda.com.br/), created her sister, bridesmaids and coral’s dresses.
The happy couple danced a lot to the sound of their favorite band, U2. By the way, they started dating at their concert in Brazil! It was fun for me as well because they’re my favorite band too. I was really inspired that day!
