The first round up of our wedding photos of the week for February 2014, and we have 3 very different but equally beautiful photos and comments by the photographer. Well done to all and if you have a photo to submit for next week then find out more and get in touch here.
Photo (above) By Erna Loock Photography – It was a sunny, sweltering hot day when Natasha arrived at the chapel to say “I do” to Johnathan. I love photographing in the soft light of an overcast day and was wishing that we could have some dramatic clouds to offset this lovely couple for the portrait session while I was photographing the ceremony. A huge surprise when we got outside after the ceremony! Perfect clouds, perfect breeze and a perfect stolen kiss under the veil!
Photo by www.christonicolle.com – The groom was addressing the wedding party and thanking his best man – his best friend. As an outsider and observer I could hear and see the feeling he put into these words. This was the scene at the end. I love this image as it hasn’t just captured a hug between two friends, it’s captured a whole conversation between two people very close to each other. A picture really can tell a thousand words.
Photo By www.ashdownweddingphotography.co.uk – I’m really happy with this image as it was a hard one to capture! After a wondrous wedding day at the amazing Wiston House it came time for Jennifer and James’s first dance. I wanted to do something different from the normal first dance picture so after first checking the back of the camera ensuring that I had documented some nice images I decided to head upstairs to the balcony. I wanted to freeze the couple mid-dance but not everyone else dancing. Working at very slow shutter speeds is never easy but I’m extremely pleased with this shot ! I must have taken about 30 in total and this one turned out perfectly. It shows the couple almost blissfully unaware of everyone else capturing a truly romantic moment.
