Jessica & Craig’s Thornton Manor Wedding
Please tell us a little bit about the wedding day:
Jessica & Craig married at Thornton Manor in the Wirral, they booked both the Main House and the Marquee as their venue as Craig wanted a club atmosphere for the evening reception whilst Jessica wanted a grand and romantic manor for the actual ceremony & breakfast. Jessica looked stunning in her Ronald Joyce gown and the Groom supported his traditional family Tartan. The colours worked beautifully against the backdrop of this stunning venue, Jessica incorporated lots of different shades of purples and pinks. The day started off will bridal prep and went onto an early ceremony which gave them plenty of time to chat with friends and family as it was a large wedding with 180 guests. It did rain during the photos but that didn’t stop these guys using every available table umbrella which looked great in the photos. The evening finished in the lakeside marquee with dancing and singing with the band Martin Connor & The Soul Apostles who got everyone on their feet.
Do tell us about the bride and groom and there vision for the day
Jessica really wanted something grant and romantic and when we started the search for the venue I only had one venue I’d recommend. Thornton Manor has everything you could wish for, the stately home feel and also a modern marquee for the evening party so it suited both of them. Jessica loves flowers and injected colour into the great hall using Flower Design based in Blackpool who took her brief and really delivered.
What did you love about the day?
I loved everything about the day, Jessica never let the smile leave her face and being part of the best day of her live and recording it for her was such a privilege. Every wedding we do we do with care and attention always looking for that smile, tear or laugh and there was plenty of everything so we were spoilt for shots.
About Elbowroom Photography
We are Jo & John a photography duo from Manchester, we’ve always loved photography and joined up as business partners 6 years ago. John and I have been friends for almost 15 years and both have a love of photography and weddings (strange for a man I know).
Our style of photography is natural, we limit posing to a minimum and shoot as things happen naturally. We love bright and light images so it’s important during our editing process that all the images flow and are consistent, matching skin tones and colours is really important in our style as we want all the images to match and flow.
