Sophia and George – Trevenna Barns, St Neot, Cornwall Wedding
We feature the wedding of Sophia and George who got married on the 16th January 2016 at Trevenna Barns, St Neot, Cornwall. Their day was captured by Tracey Warbey Photography.
Do tell us about the couple
Sophia and George have been a couple for approximately 9 years and live together in Bristol.
They love Cornwall and their decision to marry here was reinforced by George’s romantic proposal on Trevone Beach.
Please tell us a little bit about the day and how it went
A few days before the big day the weather was terrible but when their wedding day finally arrived, the weather couldn’t have been better. Wall to wall beautiful winter sunshine all day, perfect!
Do tell us a little bit about yourself
Predominantly from a fine art background, I turned my passion into a career in 2014 when an old work colleague asked me to photograph her wedding and I haven’t looked back. I love everything about what I do, every wedding is very different and I get to meet some superb couples.
How would you describe your photography style?
What did you love about the day?
The fantastic weather was certainly a plus but I particularly loved how emotional the ceremony was. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Sophia walked down the aisle, she looked so beautiful. I even shed a tear!
What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding day?
In terms of photography, do your research. Look outside of the venue’s preferred supplier list and find a style that you like, don’t just base your research on price. After all, you will be reminiscing when looking at these photographs for many years to come.
In general, take your time and enjoy the planning process, it’s supposed to be fun and not stressful!
A comment from Sophia the bride
“We picked up the photos on Saturday and have been looking at them ever since. They’re absolutely gorgeous, and everything we could have wished for in our wedding photographs. We love the lighting and the personalisation throughout.
Thank you so much for doing such a great job!”
