Siena Countryside Wedding in the heart of Tuscany

We are so happy to feature the lovely wedding of Sophie and Jason who went abroad to get marred in the stunning Siena Countryside in the heart of Tuscany. The day was captured by Italy based wedding photographer Fabio Mirulla. We spoke to Fabio who told us a bit more about the couple as well as his background and photography style.

The couple
Sophie and Jason are a beautiful english couple who decide to get married in Siena countryside, in the heart of Tuscany. The wedding location is Castello di Meleto, a medieval castle that date back to eleventh century. We are in Chianti one of the most renowned wine-producing areas in the world.

Sophie and Jason had an open air ceremony, one my favourite in which you can see all the country around, with cipress and olive trees, which are so beautiful in that period of the year. They had classical musicians playing harps which created a very involving atmosphear and a lot of friends to share their happiness with.

Thay are a really nice and funny couple, they have been really spontaneous and it helped a lot shooting the pictures as I love reportage photos
After an oper air dinner in the garden in front of the castle and the speeches, the party moved inside the old stables and after a very romantic first dance, everybody started dancing, drinking and having so much fun!

The Photographer
I was born in a small village near Florence, Siena and Arezzo back in 1986. Ever since I was young I really began to appreciate the beauty of the landscapes that surround me. It was in 2005 that I started out as a wedding photographer and  ever since I have tried to capture couples on their wedding day in the most special and beautifully lit places.

My Style
I would describe my style as reportage, looking through a keyhole, capturing moments and emotions that shouldn’t be missed using my many years of experience. I love capturing the tense expression on the grooms face as her waits for the bride to arrive, the tears of happiness of a friend who reads his speech after practicing for days, the first dance barefoot on the grass, a stolen photo of a  kiss on the forehead at the sunset… moments that will remain indelibly fixed in the photographs and in your memories forever.

Many thanks for Fabio Mirulla for sharing this wedding with us, you can find out more about him and his work, as well as getting in touch with him via his profile page on our site here.
