Rohit and Amrita Wedding

We share the wedding of Rohit and Amrita that was captured by London based professional wedding photographer Doville Gail.

A little bit about the day and how it went?

The day was perfect. A classy and elegant venue. Amrita looked simply stunning as a bride. Both the bridal and grooms parties got ready at the venue so I was able to get some great shots of the bridal party getting ready as well as catching up with Rohit and the boys. The weather was quite literally freezing but that certainly didn’t dampen anybodies spirits.

Rohit and Amrita really were a pleasure to photograph, and Amrita didn’t complain once in those outside shots which must have been freezing for her but from the images you just can’t tell. What a professional! It was a stylish and elegant yet laid back wedding full of love and laughter.

Do tell us a little bit about yourself?

I love to be creative in all that I do and to make life as much fun and as colourful as I can. With this in mind I have lots of hobbies and interests including traveling, crafting, cooking, camping just to name a few. Though my biggest and most fulfilling role in life is that of a mother. I have a beautiful daughter (who is sick of being photographed!)

How would you describe your photography style?

Capturing the memories and telling the story of peoples wedding days is a real honour. My style is classical and timeless. Fashions in wedding photography come and go but I want my clients to have high quality, beautiful timeless images that they can treasure for a lifetime. Good wedding photography doesn’t just show you how you’re wedding looked it tells the story of the day and conveys the emotion of each and every moment. I strive to achieve this with every image.

What did you love about the day?

I loved the way that Rohit and Amrita were just really up for having fun with me and their enthusiasm and positive approach really paid off as you can see we got some amazing photographs. I loved the energy of the wedding, the venue was just buzzing with so much love and laughter. Photographing the evening reception was pure joy. Rohit, Amrita and their family and friends really know how to party!

What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding day?

Well I’m going to say what you would expect me to say and that is to invest in a professional wedding photographer. There’s more to photography than having a nice camera. A professional photographer has experience of photographing weddings and the people at them, they’re probably already familiar with your venue and already know the best place for those romantic portrait shots. Professional photographers can take photos in different light, different conditions, composing different shots and executing it perfectly.

The camera doesn’t do this, the photographer does and this results in consistency meaning that you get not one or two stunning photos, but a whole albums worth. I understand that with the cost of weddings so high couples are looking to squeeze the budget but getting a friend or family member to photograph your wedding really is a risky strategy. You will never regret investing in good wedding photography.
