Today we feature the wedding of Leesa and Dan who had their special day captured by Martin Dabek at Priston Mill.
About the couple:
Leesa and Dan were married at Priston Mill, in what was one of the funniest weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing last year. Leesa’s father, in particular, was hilarious. He was cracking jokes all day, and I felt to at ease in his presence. Leesa is of Chinese descent on her father’s side, and so it was wonderful to see all the Chinese touches, in honour of her heritage, at the wedding.
As well as a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, the guests took part in a Dragon Dance, which I love to capture at Chinese weddings. The wedding reception took place in the Tythe barn (Priston Mill), which Leesa’s sister had decorated perfectly. It was a brilliantly sunny day, and truly gorgeous to photograph.
I’m based in Bristol and photograph beautiful wedding all over UK and abroad since 2009. Love travelling, street photography and Asian food.
My style is very natural, creative while also being documentary. I love dramatic sunset and night shots.
What did you love about the day?
Chinese tradition, lovely funny families and fantastic venue.
