Today I’m delighted to share the beautiful wedding of Marc and Lucy and their reception at Notley The Barn. Their special day was captured by Emily Little.
Do tell us about the couple
Marc proposed to Lucy in the very romantic Venice. They tied the knot at Lacie Green Church, just round the corner from Lucy’s mum & dad’s house, they went on to have their wedding reception at the wonderful Notley Tythe Barn.
Please tell us a little bit about the day and how it went
Despite some miserable weather, everyone had a great time and we all witnessed one of the best, best mens speeches, and I’ve shot a lot, everyone was in stitches, including the suppliers! Every detail was thought right down to the his and her’s menu’s. It was a truly beautiful day!
Do tell us a little bit about yourself
I’m a wedding photographer based in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes. I love to capture what is felt on screen and create something for couples to treasure for years to come that takes them back to their day.
How would you describe your photography style?
I always find that question difficult, difficult in the sense that trying to pin my style down to one word, often one of the latest ‘trendy’ words doesn’t really do it justice. I often get told I’m vintage, lifestyle, reportage, natural or fun. Those are all true but my style is how I see your day, so I’d say my style is just ‘me’. I don’t like to compare or try and channel my vision into one focus. Take a look at my work and speak to my past brides and grooms, I often get told by them and the guests they loved how relaxed everything was, and they didn’t get poked or prodded and had fun and most of the time they didn’t even notice I was there, and that makes me happy and them too when receive their images unraveling the whole day naturally.
What did you love about the day?
Two things that stuck in my mind was Lucy’s gorgeous dress and all the flowers by the very talented Rebecca Marsala – Gingerlily flowers, and all of the little details they had thought of!
