Today we catch up with Martyn Norsworthy as part of our series of interviews with Wedding Photographers from around the UK.
How long have you been photographing weddings for and how did you get into it?
I started shooting weddings 18 years ago after leaving Art college aged 19!
I was a second shooter for some of the areas top wedding photographers, and also shot small weddings myself!
What do you particularly like about photographing weddings?
I love the buzz you get from shooting under pressure! I love being organised and making peoples dreams come true and being on hand to help all day! And creating Photos to last a life time.
How would you describe your style and approach?
My style often is determined by the style of the wedding. i have photographed all types of wedding over the years, my style mixes reportage, classical, contemporary and timeless images. but most of all great images and fun!
What advice would you give to couples looking for a wedding photographer?
Choose wisely, your going to be spending a lot of time with them, so are you comfortable, do you click! And most of all are they professional and have insurance too! if it all goes wrong!
What tips would you share with couples to help their day go more smoothly?
Relax! Allow enough time, and listen to your photographer, if they are professional enough they can help plan your day and timimgs etc to help you have the day you deserve! OH, AND KEEP IT SIMPLE!
Finally… Whats the best moment you’ve had as a wedding photographer?
Thats probably still to come, as every wedding is different! But winning an International Award for a Beach Shot is up there!
