I am excited to share this beautiful Helen & Emil’s wedding captured by Dmitry Mokeyev photography.
They came from Canada to Latvia. We met a little bit earlier to capture a love story and it was easier to work after that at the wedding day.
The ceremony took a place in a huge Orthodox church in Riga, where are strict rules for all guests including places for photographing and behavior during ceremony. The Bride should wear a coat to hide exclusive wedding dress detail from church parishioner.
The weather was changing every time, despite windy weather and possibilities of rain. But we decided to go to lighthouse (3km without any cover from rain). It was a great opportunity to catch the dramatic weather conditions there.
It was very interesting to see that the father of bride was the one to catch the bouquet.
I work as a wedding photographer from 2008. Earlier I started photographing landscapes and displayed my work in photographers communities for growing up. After a large practise I then moved into photographing celebration events.I love honest documentary way of photographing weddings and also in respect to posing.
It was ideal day for photographer. I love unpredictable weather, where I can improvise with no rush. Also the couple with their emotions was great.
