6 months before their wedding Kirsty had luckily contacted me as I am a local photographer in her area and loved my style of work. I felt we had really connected well, and discussed her plans for the wedding reception. It was great to hear about their exciting plans to elope to Iceland.
The Newlyweds wedding reception was beautiful. They had eloped to Iceland and decided that on their return they would celebrate their marriage with close friends and family at the wonderful 17th century manor house, the theme for the wedding was shabby chic inspired and Kirsty had made some gorgeous pieces to display like the old rustic door covered with vintage photos, I started the afternoon with Kirsty and her bridesmaids getting ready in one of the bridal rooms, followed by family portraits outside in the pretty gardens just before sunset, speeches and of course their first dance as a married couple.
It was wonderful to be part of their special evening, their friends and family were so warm and friendly towards me and I couldn’t of asked for the photography to go any better!
I have been photographing weddings for the last two years and eat, sleep and dream wedding photography. It’s a real passion of mine and I feel incredulity lucky to do what I do as a living and photograph people. I love to capture the true essence of people and a wedding is a perfect time for this to happen.
I do combine different styles in my work from documentary to traditional but I do always look for the Humour, Human Interaction and of course the Love in every wedding I do. I try to use the natural light in mostly all of my wedding photography. Every wedding I do is unique and having fresh ideas and researching my venues and couples taste and style is key to a successful wedding collection.
Telling the story of any couples wedding day is what I love most of all… Their story and my vision……
Your wedding day is an expression of yourself so don’t be stressed out for months worrying about the little things, some of the best moments our the ones you didn’t plan at all…..
