Fairy Tale Wedding Set in France

Today we feature a perfect fairy tale wedding that just makes you smile and wishing you were there. The wedding of Loulou and Guillaume took place in the perfect France countryside and was captured by International wedding photographer Madeline Druce.

Loulou and Guillaume’s wedding was what I can only describe as a fairy tale. Set in countryside was the French wedding venue, when you drove into Domaine Delatrigaliere, you got the sense of being in another world. Vast meadows of long green grass stretched out in front of you, dotted with little cottages and giant castle-like buildings alike.

The weather on the day was glorious. Family and friends had travelled from as far as Australia and the USA to be there, and the vibe was abuzz with excitement.

The day was truly perfect in every sense of the word, with the gorgeous couple grinning madly all day. I have to say this really was one of the most magical of weddings.

The Couple
Loulou and Guillaume met in Paris in 2010, and it was pretty much love at first sight. They are inseparable. Guillaume, a successful fashion photographer, and Loulou, also a photographer and his producer, travel the world for work shooting campaigns as well as being husband and wife. Loulou is originally from Jersey in the UK and Guillaume is French.

What I loved about the day was the vibe. The buzz. The energy. Everyone was in such a great mood and it showed in the photographs.

The Photographer
I’m originally from New Zealand, now based in Melbourne, Australia, shooting weddings both nationally and internationally. I travel to the northern hemisphere each summer to work, and just love the excitement and inspiration I get when I visit new places. I feel like each new location brings a whole new perspective to how I want to shoot.

My photography style is very much photojournalistic in nature. Most of the day I’m snapping away unobtrusively. Don’t get me wrong though, I love to chat and laugh right along with the rest of the guests! When it comes to the portrait sessions, I will give some direction as I find it actually relaxes my couples more than just saying ‘ok, do something cute’. I like to have FUN with my couples, and the feedback I get is exactly that. They had fun with me around. I tend to leave each wedding feeling like i’ve gained a whole new group of friends. I’m so blessed to do what I love for work.
