Ellen & Lewis, Marriott County Hall

Real Wedding // Published by Sam, Editor - March 1, 2016

I’m delighted to share the wedding of Ellen & Lewis that took place at Marriott County Hall. Their special day was captured by Minna Rossi Photography.

Do tell us about the couple

From the moment I met Ellen and Lewis at the venue for our wedding photography consultation, they were very down to earth and friendly. They had been mates for quite a few years before that friendship blossomed into something more and you could really feel how relaxed and at ease they were in each other’s company.

Please tell us a little bit about the day and how it went

The couple had chose the Marriott County Hall in Westminster, London as their venue, because it was just around the corner where they had their first proper date. The wedding cake made by a friend of theirs was also on theme and I decided to photograph the rings on top of the little map on the window sill, which depicts all the buildings by the river.

Do tell us a little bit about yourself

I’m a friendly, female, professional wedding photographer based in North London. I mainly capture the day as it unfolds, but mix in a few naturally posed couple’s portraits and family shots, too. And pretty details just have to be captured, they really help tell the story of the day.

How would you describe your photography style?

Very natural and relaxed looking, I would hope it to be elegant and beautiful, but with fun elements, colour, energy and lots of candid portraits. Nothing too posed or contrived -I want couples and their guests to also enjoy the experience.

What did you love about the day?

I loved how the couple created a very elegant and stylish looking day, but knew how to have fun with it. That Biba dress was just stunning on Ellen, The Marriott County Hall is a beautiful venue very classic in style and the muted colour scheme was timeless.

What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding day?

To remember to enjoy the day and not get too stressed out about planning it all (it will all come together if you have organised everything in good time and then you can just relax on the day -it’s a day you will remember forever).
