St. Peter’s Italian Church Wedding, London
Today we feature the wedding of Bharvi & Roberto who got married on the 18th October 2014, at the Italian Church, Clerkenwell. Their day was captured by Blake Ezra, a wedding photographer based in London.
Bharvi & Roberto, firstly when and how did you meet?
We met at a mutual friends house party (whom was the maid of honour!) The first moment we met Bharvi decided to grab a sleeping cat off my lap. Needless to say she had claws into me straight away albeit the cat’s claws!
What was your vision and inspiration for your wedding day?
Keeping it as authentic as possible. True to our roots trying to show our personalities and making sure the environment and atmosphere was relaxed so everyone could enjoy themselves. Homemade centre pieces, floral arrangements and little touches like the LOVE sign hopefully brought this out.
How did you decide on the location and venue for your big day?
Roberto came across our venue, he spent a lot of his childhood not so far from it, where his Grandad owned a cafe. It was perfect and not so far from the church, it’s how we imagined our venue to be, an old empty building with acres of character that we could add our style to. Deciding factors were budget & location on top of just a gorgeous historic building.
What was your favourite moment of the day?
Bharvi: The whole day absolutely loved everything including getting lost whilst walking to the church with all my bridesmaids.
Roberto: Hard to choose but I really felt the love in when we first entered into the reception venue to Dream Baby Dream by the Boss.
Do you have any tips or advice ufor other couples planning their wedding day?
Bharvi: Try not to stress and be too specific the day goes super fast you won’t even notice little things, it’s your day do things how you like, it’ll be the best day of your life.
Roberto: One thing you realise very quickly on the day, weddings are about your close friends and family who you share it with and it does not matter what cake, venue or dress your wearing that relationship does not change so enjoy the journey.
Bharvi: We’d like to add a few words about our photographer, Blake. We love him, he’s such a incredible photographer, he captured all our memories and you can feel the emotions in the pictures. He is so calm, positive and professional. We’ll leave you with the words of a guest “Your photographer has the stealth of a marine sniper!”
