Belgian Village Wedding

// Published by Sam, Editor - June 8, 2015

We are delighted to share the lovely wedding of Amali and Thibaut who got married in December in a charming Belgian Village. The day was captured by Philippe Nieus.

Amali is of Lebanese origin and Thibaut is Belgian. I met them for the first time at a wedding, last year. They’re a really spontaneous couple and from the word go, we hit it off really well.

The wedding took place in December in a charming Belgian Village. The couple invested a lot in the preparation of this magnificent day, namely the decoration, all taken care of by Amali. There was a subtle, eastern vibe cast over the proceedings of the entire day, due to the origins of the bride.

The Photographer – Philippe Nieus
It’s always difficult to introduce oneself, I prefer to talk about the couples that I work with, and the people I love. In short, I’ve been married for 22 years, and I’m the proud father of two, wonderful daughters.

Photography is my passion. What I like about wedding photography is the human contact, as well as the ability to tell the story of the day through my perception of events. I like to incorporate, simultaneously, a classic ‘reportage’ feel, with a little magic and poetry. That’s why I like to seek out particular lighting, back-lighting, reflections etc.

What did you love about the day?
What I remember most about the day is the couple, their friends and their families, a great mix of people and a feeling of wonderful kindness, and open-mindedness. All the guests were truly delighted to share the day with Amali and Thibaut. The winter atmosphere (even without snow) was also something I very much appreciated, as it gave an unusual blend of warmth and intimacy.
