Today we feature Alice & Joes Wedding that took place on 24th August 2014 and was captured by Katie Drouet, a Suffolk based wedding photographer.
When I met Alice we instantly clicked she was so easy to chat to and I loved all her ideas for the day. Alice and Joe live in Bath so many emails were exchanged in-between the time before their engagement shoot a few months before the big day which was a great chance to get to know them both even more, it left me very excited for their wedding.
The day ran beautifully, we spent our time to begin with at Alices parents home where her and Joe both got ready together which was a lovely change. Then onto the Unitarians Hall for their ceremony which was incredibly moving, when Joe cried I just couldn’t help but join in! With the help of wedding planner Caroline Gould they transformed The Suffolk Food Hall complete with an outdoor area complete with hay bales and a beautiful view of the orwell bridge.
A lovely relaxed day all about family and friends coming together to celebrate.
I am a 28 year old wedding photographer. This is my fifth year running my own business though I have been a professional photographer for 10 years. I love photography and also getting to share such amazing days with all my couples. Being a complete sucker for romance this is the perfect job for me!
I live in Suffolk with my boyfriend and dog Mossy who keeps me company during my days editing my photos!
I think my style is fun, bright and relaxed. Much of how a shoot is about forming a relationship with my couple and showing off their personalities.
What did you love about the day?
I loved the whole feel of the day. Because Alice and Joe were relaxed about things there were was no stress on the day. I loved how they didn’t feel the need to go with the normal conformists of not seeing each other, having a white dress etc it was so refreshing to see them both doing everything just the way they wanted to. Personal touches were made by the whole family, Alice’s mother made all flowers and Alice and Joe even made their wedding cake!
An excellent day of two people celebrating finding each other with all the people they love.
