For me wedding photography is about telling the story of a couple on their wedding day. It’s about reflecting what is unique to them and photographing in a creative and imaginative way.

Weddings shouldn’t stop for photography, the photographs should be about catching the wedding in full flow and showing what it was like to be there. To reflect individual choices and show family and friends as they really are.

I’ve been photographing weddings for ten years and perfecting my style and approach. I’ve been lucky enough to be named in the Top 100 wedding photographers in the world and amongst the Top 10 in the UK – which is nice!

Getting to know a couple and being able to create a set of photographs that will be looked at in years to come and bring alive that day time and time again...and cake!

First of all you have to feel an emotional response to their work - it's not just about ticking something off your wedding list. A photographer will be at your wedding for up to 12 hours, you have to imagine how this might impact on the day. If their photography looks candid and real then that's probably a 'low impact' photographer, the more posed shots you see on a website the more time you'll spend posing on your wedding day.
