Hi, I'm Alex
Your pledge is to love each other. My pledge is to give you great memories.
Hello, I’m Alex. I’m 55 and I have taken photographs since my schooldays (…..a long time ago)!
Apart from photography, my main love is music. I’m an 80’s child at heart, but I love a wide range of music from jazz to 2-Tone to classical and I can bore you to death about Paul Weller.
In my private life, I have been with my partner Chris for 20 years and our holiday in Mykonos and Santorini a couple of years ago gave me a burning ambition to photograph a wedding on either of those islands !
Over the past few years I have been lucky enough to cover weddings with great couples and great venues: from the Isla Gladstone, to Liverpool Football Club, to Crewe Hall, to St George’s Hall and The West Tower in Aughton.
My packages for 2023/2024 are as follows:
Platinum: £1050 – All day on your wedding day PLUS an engagement shoot in the months beforehand. The wedding day would include you and your partner getting ready in the morning straight through to just after your first dance in the evening (and also includes any rehearsal beforehand that is taking place at the venue), The engagement shoot would be at a time and date suitable for you.
Gold: £850 – as Platinum above but without the engagement shoot.
Silver: £500 – as above, but beginning from the ceremony itself and without the engagement shoot.
Bronze: £150 to £500 – this would be if you want me for less of the day (e.g. just for the ceremony) and is negotiable.
If you have any other timeframe or budget in mind, get in touch and let’s have a chat.
Looking forward to meeting you!
How would you describe your style?
I aim to tell the story of your day as unobtrusively as I can. For most of the day you will not know that I'm there and I will blend into the background as much as possible. Candid moments are everything and often make the best photos and memories, but I know that posed photos are important too. So I will do as many posed pictures or as few as you want. You're paying the money, you are the boss ;-)
I know that your guests will want to take photos throughout the day on their phones, and that is fine with me. However, after the ceremony I will whisk you away from your guests for 20 to 30 minutes for some special photos that none of your guests will have. That is why I will visit your venue or venues beforehand (with you, if possible) to find the best little nooks and crannies for really special photos.
I do a mixture of black & white and colour photos, and will mainly give you the choice of both. I will deliver your photos on an USB stick and you can then choose which ones you want to print out.
I am friendly, easy-going, and have a great sense of humour. I just want you to relax and let me get the photos and memories of your day.
If you want to know anything else - please just ask !
What do you love about weddings?
It's lovely to see family and friends altogether and catching up where they may not have seen each other for a while.
It's great to see all the guests looking smart and at their best.
It's heartening to see some of the gents overcome their nerves to makes successful speeches, willed on by the crowd.
Which all makes for great photography.
Advice for couples planning their wedding?
If you can't find a photographer through a recommendation, or word of mouth, then go with your gut feeling as it is rarely wrong. If someone feels right for you then they probably are right for you.
Your Travel policy?
I am happy to travel anywhere, but venues over an hour away from Liverpool (driving) will mean an add-on to my fee.
