Beautiful Photography from James Beedham
Hi. I’m James. I studied law at university before training as an actor. So I guess my route into photography has been a little unusual.
5 years ago I was touring with an outdoor Shakespeare company. After we had put up the set, our afternoons revolved around discovering whichever picturesque National Trust property or Castle we were at that day. It really threw me into photography seriously. Soon I became a headshot photographer for actors. And then a number of years later I took up professional photography full time and here we are!
But enough about me, you’re wedding is about you!
The way I cover a wedding is a combination of candid natural moments complimented by relaxed and elegant portraits of the key parts of your day. For me the story of the day is everything. From getting ready in the morning to the first dance I am privileged to be part of that journey with my clients. I know how special that is for you both and it's something I really care about capturing. The photos that my clients love to post, share and print are those natural moments of the bride and bridesmaids in fits of giggles, the page boy walking up the aisle, or the proud father of the bride. These are the memories that will stay with you forever. For those moments where the photography is more prominent such as the bride and groom portraits. Clients love how relaxed and calm my workflow is to give them opportunity to take a moment in that busy schedule. Whilst I am busy working away capturing the early moments of your marriage they often talk about Auntie Joy's huge hat or the late university friends.
All weddings are different. Magical, fun, intimate, huge, traditional or a bit off the wall. What makes yours special is that it is unique to you and your partner. It’s all those choices that you make: the date, the church, the venue, the table decorations. But it’s also the people you share it with. The chapters of your story; those who have known you for twenty years and the ones that have been around for two. This is what makes being a wedding photographer exciting for me; when the dance floor is empty, the cake is eaten and the flowers are wilting my photos will retell the story of your big day.
There are two main things that you would need to think about. The first is very simple. Does this photographer's work really grab me. Do I love it. I think that you will know if you do. The second thing that really is crucial but a bit more difficult to ascertain is...
