Saunton Sands Hotel Real Wedding in North Devon

Today we feature the wedding of Kaz and Ray that was held at the Saunton Sands Hotel, in North Devon captured by Lee Maxwell who is based in the South West.

There was a vintage theme to the day, which was a nice juxtaposition to the guests list! A wonderfully bunch of crazy people who were so happy to witness Kaz and Ray get married! This was a spring wedding, but the weather was nothing but summer vibes!

Do tell us a little bit about yourself

I’m a full time wedding photographer based in Devon. I focus on documentary photography, where the majority of shots are candid and natural. I’m a terrible subject to photograph myself, with those awkward smiles and stiff shoulders, so I want the photos I deliver to show people as they REALLy are!

What did you love about the day?

Well, we were treated to a stunning sunset, and confetti canons are always a good laugh. However, the best thing about the day were Caroline and Ray themselves. They just exude love, which in turn makes for the best photos!

What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding day?

Don’t focus on the minutia. Have trust in the people you’ve hired for the day and let it run wild! Take the time to enjoy it, EVERYONE says afterwards how fast it goes!
