We feature the wedding of Chris and Stef that took place at Oxleaze Barn in the Cotswolds and was captured by Carissa & Paul of Capture Every Moment.

A little bit about the day

Chris and Stef had a lovely laid back wedding on a sunny wednesday afternoon in July 2016 at Oxleaze Barn in the Cotswolds. It really was a wonderful, happy and relaxed wedding, which was exactly what Chris and Stef wanted. They chose Oxleaze Barn for their special day as it was beautifully situated in the Gloucestershire Country side and they could create the perfect D.I.Y wedding.

With only 30 guests throughout the day Chris and Stef’s wedding was intimate and relaxed, which created a lovely atmosphere. The Ceremony took place inside the Cotswold Stone Barn and included two special readings. As the newlyweds walked up the aisle their guests showered them in confetti. Tea and cake was served in the courtyard after the wedding while Chris and Stef greeted their guests. The courtyard was decorated with old photos of the bride and groom from childhood right up until their pre-wedding shoot, it was a great talking point for family and friends. Afternoon tea was served with home made sandwiches, scones and other yummy treats.

Chris and Stef’s planning and preparation for the big day certainly paid off, both the ceremony and reception was exactly what they wanted – a relaxed happy occasion. The day was filled with lots of emotion and laughter. They were a lovely couple to photograph and were very welcoming to us, we very much enjoyed the relaxed and happy feel of the day.

Advice for couples

Just like Chris and Stef lots of brides and grooms are nervous about having their photos taken, This is what the pre-wedding shoot is for. If your offered a pre-wedding shoot my advice would be to take it, its a great opportunity to chat to your photographer about any nerves or body issues. You get to practice poses, so you and the photographer can see what works for you.

About The Photographer

We’re a father and daughter photographer team based in the cotswolds. We have been photographing weddings for over seven years and enjoy the variety of each and every wedding. We enjoy photographing the day from bridal preparations right up to the first dance, this way we get to photograph the day as it unfolds. We have a natural and unobtrusive approach and we’re happy to take any requests for formal photos of family and friends.

Review from the Bride & Groom

Thanks to Carissa and Paul for our wedding photos. Not only did we end up with lots of great shots of our day, but they managed to take them all whilst being very discreet and letting the day flow. Having 2 photographers is a definite bonus to having different perspectives of the day and they are both very nice and down to earth making it very relaxing and easy to work with.
Many thanks again.
Chris and Stef.
