Today we feature a wedding captured by Cornwall based photographer Tracey Warbey. We love featuring real weddings and this one is even more special as it goes back to when it all started for Tracey as this is her first wedding she captured.
Over to Tracey to tell us about the day.
So here it is, my first wedding! I was delighted to accept the invitation to shoot Nicky’s wedding when she asked me to do it last year, as we used to work together.
As a fine art photographer I had wanted to get into wedding photography for some time, so shooting someone’s wedding that I knew was a great way to start.
The weather had been changeable all week. There had been a number of thundery showers and even hail at one point but the sun came out eventually for the ceremony, which was held at Luxulyan church. Nicky and Steve joined their guests at Knightor Winery & Restaurant, Trethurgy for the reception following the portrait shoot which took place at Luxulyan Valley. The Valley provided a beautiful backdrop in which to photograph a couple who clearly adore each other. I feel this really comes across in the images of them.
Nicky and Steve have been together for 8 years now and have a beautiful little boy, Caden, who features in the photos quite a bit! They met via mutual friends and their first date was at a football match…
