Matt & Emma’s Wedding

Matt & Emma’s Wedding

Today we feature the lovely wedding of Matt and Emma who had their perfect wedding day captured by Rebecca Clarke a Kent Wedding Photographer of Wild Rose Photography.

The couple
I knew Emma from our childhood but hadn’t actually seen her in about 15 years. It was a lovely surprise when she got in touch asking me to photograph her wedding, and I was honoured. Matt was such a friendly guy who constantly had the biggest smile on his face. They were clearly smitten with each other, and the couple portraits of the two of them are very natural as they instantly felt at east and like they could be themselves in my presence. There was a lot of laughter and mucking around which was so lovely.

The Day
Emma and Matt were fab to work with from the start. They were full of fun, laughter and surprises which made my job so much easier. Not long after starting to photograph the bride getting ready, the groom surprised everyone by arriving in a helicopter! The day was very relaxed and flowed nicely, with all the guests being very warming and accepting of my presence. It was quite an intimate wedding, and it was clear to see everyone there thought a lot of the bride and groom. The day finished perfectly with the most amazing sunset over the recently harvested fields which we took total advantage of for the photos!

The Photographer
My name is Rebecca, owner of Wild Rose Photography. I specialise in natural and creative wedding photography throughout Kent and beyond. I have been a photographer for nearly 10 years now and absolutely love what I do. After studying for a media degree at university, I went on to get my first job in a portrait studio, before making the leap to go freelance 3 years ago.

My work is characteristically known for its artistic style, and use of natural lighting. My style is soft and creative. The way I shoot is totally natural with only a minimal amount of gentle direction. I like to be a little adventurous with my photography, and I love shooting brides and grooms who also are a little courageous and aren’t afraid to let their personality shine through their photos.

What did you love about the day?
I loved everything! More than anything, the day did not feel like work. And this is when you know you have a great wedding and the best job in the world. Matt and Emma and all their family and friends were great to work with. The rustic venue was beautiful and we were blessed with perfect weather. What more could I ask for?!
