We feature the lovely wedding of Kate & Luke’s at Puckrup Hall today captured by Gareth Newstead a wedding and portrait photographer based in Staffordshire in the pretty village of Barton-Under-Needwood.
Having previously met up with Kate & Luke a few times for their consultations and engagement shoot (which I include as standard in my all-day package), I was really looking forward to their wedding day at Puckrup Hall, Tewkesbury. They’re laid back and were looking for some beautiful, nature and relaxed wedding imagery which is exactly what I love to create. On the morning of their wedding day, I was full of adrenaline, although slightly sleepy having helped my wife give birth to our second baby 2 days previous in our kitchen (we didn’t quite make it to hospital!) The morning started by getting a few shots of Kate and her bridesmaids preparations as well as her stunning dress! All of her family and friends were so welcoming and friendly as well as very interested to hear the story of my temporary exploits into midwifery!
Later in the morning Kate’s dad came to see her for the first time and I was able to capture one of my favourite wedding images of 2014. It wasn’t because the lighting was perfect or the composition is the greatest but simply for the story it told. As a married man and also now the father of a little girl, I can completely relate to her dad’s reaction, so proud of his beautiful daughter yet so sad to be saying goodbye to his little girl!
They had a beautiful ceremony, followed by a brilliant confetti tunnel as well as some fun group shots on the lawned area. Considering it was the last day in October we were blessed with some gorgeous weather and beautiful evening light. The rest of the day was so much fun, amazing speeches, cheese cake (but real cheese!), epic first dance, live band and we even managed to squeeze in some sparkler shots and a studio photo booth!
“Having Gareth do our photos was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! Not only did we get loads of amazing photos at the end of it but many of our friends and family also commented on how fantastic he was on the day- professional and hard working and such a lovely guy too! He made sure we had photos of each moment of the day whilst making our guests feel at complete ease.
It wasn’t just his great work on the day though- at the engagement shoot he made sure he understood us as a couple and since our day we have been amazed at the effort Gareth has put in to be able to hand us a set of well edited and organised photos that we are now free to do want we want with. We will also be choosing to buy one of his Wedding Albums that he will design and organise for us too. From engagement shoot to final pictures-we really couldn’t be happier and would recommend Gareth in an instant!” Kate & Luke, Oct 2014
