Cusworth Hall is a beautiful 18th century Georgian mansion and together with it’s own park make an ideal wedding venue for your big day. Located just miles away from Doncaster this grade I listed country house with panoramic views over the South Yorkshire town is a very popular choice for Yorkshire couples to get married.

This fun engagement shoot was captured by Michal Ufniak, a Yorkshire based wedding photographer.

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon at Cusworth Hall and Park near Doncaster and the weather couldn’t have been better for Pawel and Magda’s engagement photo shoot. Their wedding day was just days away so they were already very excited and a little nervous as they were flying the following day.

One of the first things we noticed arriving in the park was this golden field at the bottom of the hill awaiting the harvest that combined with a nice blue sky would make an excellent backdrop for our engagement photo shoot. Off we went before the sun started to set all the way down the steep hill to the edge of this beautiful Yorkshire park where underexposing for the ambient light I used an off camera flash with an umbrella to illuminate the couple. As the sun went down we moved onto some backlit portraits using its beautiful golden light as our back light and again I used a flashgun with an umbrella to lit the couple.

Finally when it was almost dark we decided to go little more creative with the flash and used the beautiful features of this grade I listed 18th century Yorkshire country house as a backdrop to our last few shots.
