Cripps Barn Real Wedding

I’m excited to share the lovely wedding of Andrew and Jessica who got married at the gorgeous Cripps Barn. Their day was captured by Carissa & Paul of Capture Every Moment.

Andrew and Jessica are such a lovely couple, from the moment we met them we knew it was going to be a pleasure to photograph their wedding day. Andrew and Jessica arranged a pre-wedding shoot with us a few weeks before the wedding day, it was a great opportunity to take a few photos and have a good catch up about the big day.

Please tell us a little bit about the day and how it went

Andrew and Jessica were married at Cripps Barn, which is a beautiful Cotswold Stone Barn near Bibury. The couple wanted a happy relaxed wedding day with a few formalities such as family photos.

The weather was against us from the start heavy rain and strong winds was not what we ordered. The wedding was beautiful, Jessica walked down the aisle with her dad by her side, she had the biggest smile on her face as she walked towards a smiling Andrew. A close friend and the grooms sister both said a reading during the ceremony, after the giving and receiving of rings, Jessica and Andrew celebrated with not just one but two kisses! Armed with umbrellas we headed outside for photos, the bride and groom portraits were a blast with lots of laughter throughout, both Andrew and Jessica are so natural in front of the camera. Andrew looked very smart in his blue suit and Jessica wowed in that dress. It was such a lovely day with lots of chatter and laughter through out, the atmosphere was buzzing with happiness.

Do tell us a little bit about yourself

We’re a Father & Daughter team based in the Cotswolds with many years experience photographing weddings. We like to tell the story of the day as it unfolds, capturing the little details and the big moments such as the first kiss. It’s always an honour to be picked to photograph a couples wedding, to be involved in one of the biggest days of their lives. We photograph weddings throughout the Cotswolds and are happy to travel around the UK.

How would you describe your photography style?

We aim to tell the story of the day as it naturally unfolds, unobtrusive yet photographing any requested group photos. During the portrait session with the couple, we give a little direction to get the best results.

What did you love about the day?

The weather was a nightmare but Jessica and Andrew just got on with it! The photography was so important to them, as it is with most couples, and after a chat with an emotional Jessica the day before the wedding about the horrid weather forecast, she took my advice and embraced it with wellies and umbrellas!

What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding day?

Be prepared for all weathers, it doesn’t matter what time of year your getting married, the weather is unpredictable so having a back up plan in place is a great idea. Pack umbrellas and Wellies and don’t forget Sun cream if its looking to be a hot day!
